Calculation of the area

 

∫f (x) = f (x) dx,

f (x) = x

∫f (x) = x / (n + 1) exp (n + 1) (n ≠ -1)

example

f (x) = x, ∫f (x), n = 1 thus

x / 1 + 1 (exp (1 + 1) = x² / 2 = ∫f (x)

Some special integrals:

f(x) = 1/x,  ∫f(x) = lnx

f(x) = sinx, ∫f(x) = -cosx

f(x) = cosx, ∫f(x) = sinx
